With no due respect Sir

Memorial Day 2009- Beer and Barbecue @ Camp David

Michelle Obama isn’t going to suffer this summer just because she’s now the First Lady.

The President’s wife says she’s refusing to make the same mistake that former First Ladies made by not using Camp David as a beat-the-heat retreat.

Memorial Day is a time to commemorate United States, men and women, who died while in the military service.
Veterans Day is when we salute our military men and women.

Obviously somebody needed to clue the President in on this, although it seems pretty self explanatory to me.

President Barack Obama saluted veterans and urged his countrymen to do the same this Memorial Day weekend, saying the nation has not always paid them proper respect.
Speak for yourself, Sir. Weren't you the one that refused to wear an American Flag pin?
In his weekly radio and Internet address Saturday, Obama said people can honor veterans by sending a letter or care package to troops overseas, volunteering at health clinics or taking supplies to a homeless veterans center. He said it could also mean something as simple as saying "thank you" to a veteran walking by on the street.
"We have a responsibility to serve all of them as well as they serve all of us," Obama said. "And yet, all too often in recent years and decades, we, as a nation, have failed to live up to that responsibility. We have failed to give them the support they need or pay them the respect they deserve."
Sort of like when your wife said this:
“Let me tell you something — for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”
Or maybe, when she said this
"and life is not good: we're a divided country, we're a country that is just downright mean, we are guided by fear, we're a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents.  We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day. Folks are just jammed up, and it's gotten worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I'm young. Forty-four!"
Or maybe, like, when you failed to give them the support they need, or the respect they deserve, by placing your hand over your heart during the National Anthem.  Sir, on one of the many occasions that you find yourself "looking back" at the previous administration, it may behoove you to take a lesson from your predecessors and walk the talk.
